NDAR started as DESIGN SYSTEMS EUROPE in 1988. Founded by Nick Danese, DES primarily provided Naval Architecture and Engineering services using then rare software tools for mini- and microcomputer desktops. 

Having clearly taken the direction of digital solutions, Design Systems Europe became Design Systems & Technologies, and the partnership with our growing number of software partners was extended to cover the entire spectrum of design, construction, operation and management in Naval Architecture and Marine Engineering.

Finally, in 2004, due to the extensive R&D work done since the early days, DS&T became NDAR, a name and brand that pays tribute to another decade of innovation, research and development. More than ever, NDAR offers Software Solutions for Naval Architecture and Shipbuilding.
