REGENASA was founded more than 35 years ago by Salvador González Rodríguez, the current president. It began with insulation and fitting out work on fishing vessels, and quickly extended its scope to fit out cabins and other types of vessels such as tuna boats and tugboats.

In the 1990s, due to its growth, the company invested in new facilities and machinery, and created a highly qualified Technical Department for more technical projects such as offshore and oceanographic projects. This professionalisation became one of its greatest strengths.

Since then, REGENASA has strengthened its management team, created specialised departments and expanded its national and international presence, covering new markets such as luxury yachts and cruise ships, as well as interior design.
