The VLP4.0 project - Visual Layout Platform 4.0 - aims to develop a comprehensive digital solution to support the daily activity management of people working on the shop floor. The VLP 4.0 Platform is conceived as a solution for the visual and agile management of the plant, with the objective of optimising resource use, increasing user autonomy, and ensuring safety in operations.

The VLP4.0 platform aims to improve the daily management of companies by integrating Lean Manufacturing principles with 4.0 enabling technologies, placing people at the centre to add value. The solution will consist of both software and hardware, and it will be validated in two representative environments with real operating conditions (automotive and naval), with the identification and characterisation of technical and functional improvements to adapt the development to the actual needs of the sectors.
The digital solution will be adaptable to the characteristics of each company and evolutionary, allowing its implementation in companies with different levels of maturity (technological and operational), facilitating the transfer of best practices from the most advanced sectors.

The project is coordinated by the AEI Galicia Digital (DIHGIGAL) and involves two technology companies (Inovalabs Digital, S.L. and AR VR Meifus Engineering SL.), two industrial companies (TI Group Automotive Systems, S.A. and Francisco Cardama, S.A.), and the Galician Naval Cluster Association (ACLUNAGA).
